Preferred Routing Zone (R)
The height of the band where horizontal conduits run (minimum 3 ft).

The Preferred Routing Zone (R) is the vertical band reserved for horizontal
conduit runs — the space, measured down from the top of slab, where conduits
travel parallel to the floor. Its height determines how many conduits can
stack and route together while keeping proper clearances. Enter it in feet and
inches (e.g. 5' 0").

- A taller zone = more room for the AI to stagger conduits at slightly different heights and avoid clashes.
- Minimum is 3 ft. If you enter less, ABR warns you and resets it, because a compressed zone forces many clashes, extra bends and unconstructable conduits.
- If you genuinely need conduits pinned to one fixed elevation, turn off Avoid Clashes Automatically (in the Model Manager) — that holds the elevation but drops the automatic clash-avoidance.
